02What happened
The year
The first season. Toronto entered jointly with the University of Waterloo under the name Blue Water, thirteen people building a cellular thermometer — bacteria engineered to report temperature. No images from this year survive; the wiki hotlinked a personal university page that has long since gone. No results page survives either.
