02What happened

The year

Landfills leak methane, a greenhouse gas roughly eighty times more potent than CO2 over twenty years. Methanivore engineered methane-oxidising bacteria to capture it at the source. The project won Best Model and picked up five further nominations — Climate Crisis, Integrated Human Practices, Entrepreneurship, Presentation, and Wiki — the widest spread of nominations in chapter history.
